With over 55 years of experience working on antique safes and vaults, I’ve had the privilege of opening, servicing, and repairing some of the most remarkable security equipment across much of the Midwest. American safe and vault manufacturing has produced some of the most ingenious inventors the world has ever known, and throughout my career I’ve had the honor of working on many of their creations.

I was also fortunate to personally know and work alongside three of these remarkable minds — the Toepfer brothers: Edwin, William, and LeRoy Toepfer. These men were not only inventors, but true experts whose craftsmanship and knowledge shaped the industry. Working with them early in my life had a profound impact on my approach to this trade and helped form the professional values I carry today.

Their influence, combined with decades of hands‑on experience, continues to guide my work and fuel my passion for preserving and servicing the extraordinary engineering found in antique safes and vaults.
